Community spirit shines through at Darkness to Daylight (D2D) Walk
Despite persistent rain, community spirit was strong at this years D2D Walk, bringing together residents, advocates and young people in a powerful display of connection and solidarity.

A big thank you to our events team for organising the event, which featured stories, poems and music that sparked both laughter and reflection among attendees.
For the first time, members of the Youth Council joined the walk, sharing a moving poem about finding their voice and refusing to remain silent.
Local musician Cath Purcell entertained participants with her country rock songs, while Don and Kristy from Justice for Courtney delivered heartfelt speeches that resonated with the crowd.
It was fantastic to see members of Capricornia HRT attend and show their support, reinforcing the spirit of solidarity that underpinned the morning.
While the weather may have been wet, the sense of community connection was stronger than ever.
