Can you help me with housing?

Can anyone access free counselling at Safe and Well CQ?

Free counselling is available for women, men and children who have been impacted by domestic and family violence, and sexual assault. We also offer general wellbeing counselling for women in the Gladstone, Agnes Water and Biloela regions.

Are my sessions confidential?

Safe and Well CQ will not release your personal information without your consent unless we are required to by law. To find out more, see our Privacy and Confidentiality policy.

Do I need to bring anything to counselling?

Bring anything along that you feel might be helpful. For domestic and family violence support, it is recommended that you bring along any relevant documents, such as Domestic Violence Orders (DVOs).

Do you offer counselling for children?

Yes, support is available for children impacted by domestic and family violence, and sexual assault.

Do I need a referral to access the services at Safe and Well CQ?

You don't need a referral to come and see us, but we do encourage you to make an appointment.

Do Safe and Well CQ run workshops for businesses?

Yes, contact us to discuss what programs we have that may suit your business' needs.

How do I register for a workshop or event?

If you would like to attend any of our workshops or events, go to our events and workshops calendar and follow the prompts to register.

Do Safe and Well CQ offer medical advice?

We offer support and counselling services. Any specific medical conditions will need to be discussed with your doctor. CQ Health provides a monthly women's health clinic at our Gladstone location. Click here to find out more and book an appointment.

Do Safe and Well CQ provide contraception or pregnancy options?

Children by Choice can assist with advice on pregnancy and contraception options. You can also get in touch with the Gladstone Nurse-led Walk-in Clinic.

If I need medical help, where should I go?

If you need a doctor or medical attention, you can get in touch with the Gladstone Urgent Care Clinic, the Gladstone Nurse-led Walk-in Clinic, local GPs or Gladstone Hospital.

If I am worried about my mental health, who do I contact?

We can help you with counselling to support better mental health.

If you would like medical assistance in relation to your mental health, you can get in touch with the Gladstone Medicare Mental Health Centre or Better Connect.

Can I just walk in to Safe and Well CQ?

Absolutely, we are here to help. Visit our Gladstone office at: 65 Central Lane, Gladstone, QLD 4680.

Can I book an appointment for someone else?

Service providers can refer their clients if the client has provided written consent. Please refer to our referral form. Parents can make a booking on behalf of their children who are under 16 years of age. If you are wanting to book for another adult, please provide our contact details to them. Call police on 000 if it's an emergency.

Do Safe and Well CQ take clothing donations?

We encourage you to donate clothes at The Salvation Army, St Vincent de Paul Society or Roseberry Dignity Hub.
